Internet services and access to Cloud Applications are now the utilities of Enterprise Business.  ENGIE, a Fortune 1000 global energy leader, needed to upgrade connectivity at two mission-critical office locations and faced significant challenges. 

A fiber build was mid-six figures and required a minimum 180-day installation time frame. Due to their remote location, a single fiber line would also be vulnerable to cuts and flood along the entire distance. ENGIE Contacted Metro Wireless about installing their MetroBONDx4 solution, a service that combines available wireless signals and transforms them into an enterprise-grade, high-speed internet circuit.     

Metro Wireless assessed the available wireless assets available at this specific location and recommended a four-circuit bonded solution - MetroBONDx4.

The Challenge

ENGIE’s operations depend on real-time cloud data, secure communications, and seamless connectivity across offices— but their legacy internet couldn’t deliver the broadcast quality upload speeds they required. Beyond speed, strict IT mandates demanded 13 Static IPs, 99.9% uptime, and multi-carrier redundancy to prevent outages. 

Fiber proved impractical: prohibitively expensive, slow to deploy, and unable to ensure network diversity. With productivity suffering and a short deployment deadline, traditional wired solutions were off the table. They needed enterprise-grade performance without the delays, and a wireless alternative became the only viable fix.

Metro Wireless designed, provisioned, and shipped a custom wireless system that delivers an enterprise-grade circuit. MetroBONDX4 technology combines the reach of Starlink's satellites with the speed of multiple 5G networks.

These signals are intelligently managed by Peplink SpeedFusion™ routers, ensuring that the traffic flows smoothly and efficiently.

‍Metro Wireless executed this installation with remarkable speed and precision. Within 24 hours of approval, equipment was staged while teams coordinated 5G activations and conducted pre-installation site surveys.

Simultaneous deployments at both locations ensured efficiency, with Starlink dishes and 5G antennas strategically positioned for optimal signal strength.

Peplink routers were meticulously configured on-site, integrating all circuits into a seamless bonded network. Despite the aggressive timeline, the entire system, including end-to-end performance testing, was operational in just seven days.

Rigorous speed and reliability checks confirmed that the solution met all enterprise requirements, delivering 100 Mbps uploads and carrier-grade uptime. This rollout underscores Metro Wireless’s expertise in mission-critical connectivity.
